
Finally spring is here! The season of promise suggests the beginning of everything new, the end of the old, and the hope of newness.
Wellness too is the promise of all that is available to you when your body is in complete health. It’s the promise that you, no matter what state you’re in, can give birth to something other than your current situation. So, if you’re unhappy with how you look and feel, you can make a promise to yourself to shape a better feeling, better looking, better living version of you.
That might mean leaving behind eating habits that don’t nourish or support a healthy body, mind and heart. It might also mean leaving behind negative thought patterns as well as the people who keep you in a place where you are unable to move forward.
With the belief that wellness is a promise, what are the things you’re going to do to help make that promise a reality?
Will you say, “despite temptation, exhaustion, hormones, life situations, despite my perceived lack of ability, this is what I promise to deliver to myself so that I can be the best of me, so that I can be the healthiest version of me, so that I am not a burden to society so that I can step into what my full potential can be?”
To be fully well, you’ll need to focus on what you’re eating, how you’re exercising and the state of your head/heart space. These are what I call the 3 E’s: Eating Clean, Exercise and Emotional Self-care.
Will you stop eating the one food you think you can’t live without and replace it with clean, sugar free food? Quitting sugar is the first place to start. I often recommend following a proper four week sugar free eating plan like my own Strike Sugar to reset your eating habits.
Take massive action with your nourishment by drinking more water. Hydrate properly by drinking 3 liters of water each day. Even if you think you are getting enough water, you’re not. Hydration is the number one deficiency in the world.
Honour your body and what it was designed to do by moving more. Moving just 30 minutes per day will transform muscles, waistline, energy and mind. Movement is the medicine your body craves, rewarding you in as little as three weeks with increased energy, improved mood and a better looking you.

Take massive action with exercise by moving today. Walk, run, lift, swim or move in your favourite way but do it! Follow a good program like FitCommit to get started.
Finally, what emotional state are you in? What kind of conversations are you having with yourself? Aligning your desire to be well by fostering positive thinking, the kind that will support your goals to be fully healthy is the foundation of your transformation success story. Through positive thinking you can move beyond traumas or circumstances to tell a new story about yourself.

Take massive action with your emotional self-care by practicing a simple guided meditation for ten minutes. Do it daily. Practice journaling daily. The quickest way to shift your energy upwards is to practice gratitude. Write down ten things you are grateful for today and immediately feel better.
Fulfill the promise of wellness in you. It’s your birthright and your destiny.
