Sitting watching sunsets with my pup on the pier, uncertainty and doubt was what brought me here. Contemplating, feeling lost in my emotions, life’s twists and turns can cause a commotion. The pier state of mind got me dreaming, the Pups on the Pier got me healing. Big dreams in my eyes and passion on my mind, losing my fears, I started gaining back my light. A clear vision, ambition, the will to follow through…now I’m writing rhymes to help inspire you. So have faith in yourself when you think you can’t cope your dreams and your visions are your destiny and hope. Don’t give up when others say you can’t do… your truth and your purpose, you’ve got to pursue!
I’m Angela; mom, author, creator and founder of the Pups on the Pier, a multi-media brand that focuses on delivering creative solutions for tackling mental health issues among children all told in the perspective of the most adorable pups, Chloe, Lulu, and Sparky! Problem… one in five children has, or will have, a mental illness by age 13. Solution… awareness, identification, normalization of treatment through our series of books, children’s music, a 90 minute animated feature film in pre-production, super cute merch, and NFTs designed to help give back to women and children in need in my local community.
Covid and social media have wreaked havoc on our children, creating more anxiety and depression in this generation than any other. Children need our help desperately, but there’s another obstacle in our way, attention spans are shorter than ever. That’s why we must deliver information through entertainment, talk to them in their language, in channels they recognize and fun interactive gaming experiences that I envision in the near future for Pups on the Pier.
Pups on the Pier has been my journal, my art, and my vision board throughout my healing process. The ocean, the majestic pier, the charming seaside community I reside in, my children, an unexpected divorce, my struggles with anxiety and PTSD, connecting with my spirituality, and my very first pup Chloe have greatly inspired me to create Pups on the Pier, destined to become a household name… think Paw Patrol meets Oprah.
