Brandy is a seeker, a multipotentialite who loves, lives, and plays hard.
As a fun-loving and hard-working person, I’m fiercely and fearlessly in search of the unique and unusual, and always ready to celebrate life at a drop of a hat. Why accept the mediocre if you don’t have to? Why let fear dictate your path? Why not be an instrument of joy and love?
I am many things; a friend, sister, mom, wife. I am also a female general contractor. In this, I know that I’m a rare sight. My path to this role is a Flashdance story in reverse. A ballet dancer turned woodworker (and then entrepreneur). A 180-turn from a feminine to a very masculine field with all the stereotypical trimmings of bullying, misogyny, and offside behaviour that the trades offer along with decency in there too.
As an apprentice, I learned not to take things personally. The BS that goes on even today, was more about “them” than me – it still is, and is so regardless of the color of collar you wear. I discovered that as long as I did my best and maintained a sense of humor, my integrity, and self-worth were intact at the end of the day. What more could a girl ask for?
Today, I love what I do. Owning my own business and helping clients bring their home renovation dreams into reality and seeing the impact the results have on their day-to-day living is the intangible, priceless reward that warms my heart, keeps me rising each day, and striving to provide a renovation experience that clients will love.

I think that switch, that initial loss of my bunhead identity, allowed me to break free of the self-imposed shackles that keep us stuck not claiming our dreams, our voices, or our truth, and trust that I’d always find the way forward be it through success or failure.
On this day, the last of the year, I would encourage us all to embrace the things that we want to do and achieve, the audacious dreams that we dare not speak of aloud. We are not only what we do but the choices we make.
Be Bold Beautiful
