Simona Gozner is a mother, wife, educator, and a daring woman with a big heart.
It is very important for me to pursue a meaningful life in which gratitude, love, faith, and knowledge are essential daily elements. As an Educator, I am dedicated to motivating and supporting students on their learning journey. Being surrounded by caring and talented people is vital in achieving success and building meaningful relationships in life. I created Being 49 on the 49th Parallel Blog to inspire women to read and learn from other women’s stories. Connecting with people from different backgrounds inspires my whole being. It makes me feel alive. Listening to people’s stories, journeys, dreams, and hopes have made me realize that we all want the same thing- to be loved and to love. Every connection has taught me valuable lessons about who I am and what is important to me. When I was young, I wanted to change the world, just to realize later that the world transformed me. I was running away from my roots to search for a new meaning, ideals, and to pursue my dreams. People, ideas, and life challenges have put me in situations that have shaped my character and contributed to my transformation from a very shy child to a courageous woman who immigrated to two countries without speaking the languages.
I am a lifelong learner with a thirst for knowledge and a curious mind. I love art, photography, fashion designing, esthetics, holistic nutrition, wellness, education, and the environment. My precious life gift is when I became a mother to Josh on December 24, 1994. Everything changed at that moment. Motherhood has taught me to love unconditionally, be strong in the most challenging life situations, appreciate and accept help when needed, and, most importantly, to surrender have faith in my destiny. I am very proud of the young man Josh has become. His kind heart and strong morals will guide him on his journey. Sophia is the right partner by his side. She is like a daughter to me. My great blessing is the love of my life, My Habibi, my dear husband, Mohamed. After being a single parent for many years, I never thought that I would find true love. He taught me what love, respect, support, and encouragement mean in a real partnership. Every day, I count my blessings and hope to make a difference.
