Jessica Di Caprio is intentionally creating her dream life.
If you could give your past self some advice, what would you tell you?
Learn to quiet the noise of life around you to focus on what truly lights you up and brings you happiness. Be aware of the moments, experiences and people you were with when you felt your best and create a life in alignment with that. And as my Grandpa Joe always taught me “set your priorities” – without knowing what your priorities are, you can easily get stuck spinning your wheels in the mud of life and staying still, accomplishing nothing at all except a mess to clean up.
We spend so much time focused on things that in hindsight hold little to no importance and it consumes time and energy that we will never get back.
Most importantly, you can reinvent yourself and start your life over as many times as you need to as the vision you hold for the life you desire is forever changing and evolving with you and in so many ways is a moving target, not a one-time destination to be reached.
When you first started your career how did you know you were ready and what made you start?
When I started coaching and writing I was still working solely as a photographer. Over time, I realized the value and empowerment my personal story was bringing to people as I used it in my writing to accompany my photography in my online presence. So this portion of my life and work started somewhat accidentally, yet is exactly what I needed.
When I realized deeply that I was speaking to my younger self, healing her every day as I share the lessons I have learned (and continue to learn), coaching the tools I use and have mastered that are now just my way of life used to process and move through the world around me as I forever expand into the future version of myself, every day pushing my own limits and boundaries, I knew I was doing the work I was meant to do.
As my work is shared, continues to expand and I see the impact it makes on others that is where I find confirmation that I am always in a state readiness, doing exactly what I am meant and called to do.
What or who has been your greatest Influence in business?
The vision and pursuit of my future self, my children and my mother all co-exist as my greatest influences. As I look back and am so proud of the things I have overcome, many times against the odds, the challenges that even now look and feel impossible, all the times I rose to the occasion of life facing my fears and the unknowns I hold that feeling knowing that the future version of myself will also one day look back to the work I am creating now with similar feelings.
As I raise my 3 sons to be the best versions of themselves, future men of influence, as they choose to be in their own lives, I am deeply influenced to create a body of work and legacy that will one day impact them and make them proud.
The largest influence has been watching the tables turn as my mother, who is my best friend and my first teacher in so many ways now looks to learn from my work. Nothing lights me up like hearing her say “well done Grasshopper” her nickname for me as long as I can remember.
What is your number one business goal to accomplish this year?
I am currently enrolling mentees in Mindology, my new mentorship program launching to support women through the pillars of the inner world of mindset, personal growth and empowerment, with a podcast to follow in the new year.
The goal itself being to impact, inspire and support others to pursue and create the life they dream of living.
As the world continues to open up, I will open registration for women’s retreats early in 2022 for in person coaching, mentorship and empowerment with beautiful destinations through a luxury experience.
What do you have going on that you’d like to share?
My first book, Recurring Thought, is available for download and will soon be available for purchase online. My mentorship program is open for enrolment, and I am writing my next book (Work of Heart) which is on target to be available early in the new year!
I want you to know that the life you are dreaming of IS the life that is meant for you. You are so worthy and deserving. Most often “the work” is simply coming back to who you were meant to be and desire to be, which is so often different than who we were taught to be, asked to be, conditioned and expected to be. Other times the work is found is rest itself. You don’t need to “earn” rest. In our rest, is often a sense of ease and state of happiness as we do things that fill our cup and bring us joy.
You get to decide how your life works for you. You can do it with ease, or force. You can doubt it and struggle or decide it will all fall into place. Either way you are forever moving forward, creating and recreating what you already know OR expanding and creating what will one day be your new standard.
You are always manifesting and creating. It’s time to get clear and do it with intention, thinking thoughts in the direction of the life you desire, knowing that you are forever a work of art and a work in progress at the same time.
