I am a construction safety advisor; I was working on a very prestigious career making project. I was happy with no worries at all. June 2018 I was called back in after some tests. I was told I have breast cancer. My world came to a screeching halt. From there I had 4.5 months of Chemo, 35 days of radiation, full hysterectomy, double mastectomy and going on my surgery #18 for reconstruction and repairs. Fast forward I am back on an amazing construction project, and happy to be back to work with a purpose that I love. I will admit, the fight never stops, and some days are unbearable. I keep getting up that that is the first step, one foot in front of the other. Any challenge or outright war, keep moving and don’t stop. I support the British Columbia Cancer Agency. These medical professionals are outstanding human beings. I am grateful every day for the people who took care of me at the Surrey BC Cancer Agency. Truly all amazing people. I fundraise for BCCA.
