If you could give your past self some advice, what would you tell yourself?
If I could go back in time and have a cup of tea with my younger self, I would have so much to say. I would tell myself to relax. To let go of all expectations and attachments to how my life is “meant to” or “supposed to” unfold. I would also say to find the humour in the journey. To not take things so seriously, as the one thing constant in life is change. I would say to be prepared to dive deeper than I’ve ever gone before emotionally and to surrender to the wave of life.
Do you have a mantra or phrase you live by? What is it?
I had been working for a very successful business training & consulting company. In my role, I was responsible for all the sales within Vancouver as well as taking care of the clients over the phone or at live events. We had amazing thought leaders from around the world leading our events. I loved being immersed in this space. However, I found that people began coming to me with their own personal stories and they were genuinely looking for feedback. Once I was let go, due to the pandemic, I had the opportunity to re-evaluate my own life. People started reaching out for sessions with me. I was more than happy to oblige. The signs were very clear that this was to be my next step. In these conversations, the tears, laughter, and ah ha moments, are so rewarding and fulfilling to witness. I feel like I am completely in the zone when I’m being present in a session.
What is your favourite thing about what you do in your career and why?
Currently, I love to meet people for in person sessions. The next best thing are online sessions. I’ve also been supporting others through a boutique healing centre in White Rock, B.C.
Do you have a mantra or phrase you live by? What is it?
Yes, there are so many fantastic and encouraging quotes or phrases. One of my favourite quotes is “Divine love always has met and always will meet every human need”. There is something so strong and permanent with this idea. I feel like I can rest in the feeling of wings of love around myself. If I know this clearly, then I can be a rock for others who may feel like they are being pulled in different directions themselves. It’s a fascinating process, where people want to feel seen, heard & appreciated. We have such basic needs as individuals, and I feel so honoured to be trusted to hold space for other individuals who are going through their own life transformations.
Another quote which I find powerful, and comforting is “You are the author, you hold the pen.” It says it all. Now, what do you want to be? What type of life do you wish to live? Now, we can reverse engineer these feelings and begin implementing steps to become this vision. It’s so fun and satisfying!
What makes you motivated on a daily basis? My daughter keeps me motivated. She is the sparkle in my world, and I feel so blessed to be her mother. What a gift to be able to watch her learn and grow. Every day she inspires me to go further than I have before. She is an amazing little lady.
