Arlene Wise is a mother and teacher with a deep passion for yoga and travel; she has found balance in her life.
If you could give yourself some past advice, what would you tell yourself?
I would tell myself not to worry so much, especially about the small stuff, everything always finds a way of working itself out.
When you first started your career, how did you know you were ready and what made you start?
I enjoyed watching the kids I taught learn and explore new things. I had taught in Japan for a year and really had fun with the kids there. They were so eager and excited to learn English that it made me want to pursue a career in teaching.
What do you have going on that you’d like to share?
I plan on starting golf lessons this fall to pursue a hobby that I have enjoyed in the past. I want to be able to share this time with friends as we learn together.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? How do you envision your future?
I will be retired and enjoying many travels and adventures with my husband and kids. I look forward to watching my children progress through their careers in the future.
Do you have a mantra or phrase you live by? What is it? Always look after yourself first, so you can be strong enough to help others.
