Tina-Marie Springham plants seeds and shifts perspectives. She’ll tell you “Yes You Can,” offer a perspective you had not yet considered, then with a nudge, encourage you to step boldly into your truth, live it truthfully and say, “now…watch what happens.”
I believe your words are mighty, your perspective, your superpower. That is what I live. That is what I teach. #seebeyondwhatyousee.
I don’t motivate, nor do I wish to be motivated. Motivating is making someone do something that they don’t want to do. Rather, I want to inspire and be inspired. That happens by doing what you love. When you do, you tap into your gifts, this ignites your mind, heart, soul, and spirit. That radiates your light out for the world to see, causing a ripple effect of inspiration for others to be inspired.
The greatest lesson I’ve learned from failure is that there is no failure. There are attempts at things in life. Some work, some don’t. With either, comes knowledge. Your perspective, along with “choice,” and this newfound knowledge, are what equip you for what’s next. Things not working out are a gift for another attempt, pivot, or change in direction. How can any of that be called failure?
I’ve had to pivot, shift, transform from then to new, old to now, many times. Each time serves to teach, grow, and reward me, to lay the next steps in my journey, painfully or passionately, but all with purpose.
What makes me feel most powerful in life is my relationship with God. From that comes my faith and inner peace, which I’d wrestled with in life. But I’ve been able to get out of my own way, and with His help, really put my money and calling where my mouth is, figuratively and literally. In 2019, I boldly shut my business down and simultaneously committed 110% to my dreams, and as Peter Dinklage said, “I will, from now on, for better or worse, be a working actor.” This pivotal decision set me up for 2020. My faith has helped me withstand the storms. It’s all led to here. I am now a working voice artist, actor, and teacher of kids, about to embark on even bolder steps in writing and directing in 2021.
