What would you tell your younger self?
Life is change, and change is life! Accept it; this is one of the keys to success. There is always a solution to the challenges we face; we will make mistakes and learn from them. By following our hearts, we can courageously move forward. Education is vital; never stop learning.
Be determined to find love, gratitude and forgiveness. Believe in and be true to yourself. NEVER GIVE UP! Work hard, and results will follow!
Listen to your inner voice and do what you want to do. Surround yourself with vibrant, positive people who believe in you! Tell the truth and trust in the generosity of others. Seek support; it’s a sign of strength.
When in doubt – fake it till you make it. Powerful thinking and a circle of friends will carry you through. Life is better when you’re in it together.
Who has been the greatest influence in your life or career?
Born on an island in the Caribbean, Trinidad & Tobago, the first ten years of life, were spent enjoying beaches, carnivals, the island’s life of light, colour, music, and fantastic food. My LOVE for COLOUR & ART began here, with the colours of carnival and the people’s creativity and music!
My mother, my most significant influence, taught me about courage, continuous learning, and finding happiness and forgiveness.
My Auntie G taught me about determination and the strength of women in life & business.
Francine Blauer & Dany Sanz, two vibrant mentors at the start of my artistry career, taught me integrity and empowerment. They encouraged my innovative spirit and my passion for pursuing creativity!! I quickly gained their respect and have extreme gratitude.
They inspired bravery, persistence, and hard work to get what I want; to focus and DO IT!!
I have always looked for positive people who believe in me. I found my way, figuring it out, one step at a time.

What is the greatest shift in your career of life and how did you navigate through it?
As an artist, my career path, focused on furthering my love of art and creativity through continuous education and innovative thinking, bringing me much joy.
A shift occurred, when at 18, during studies at a school of fine arts, I discovered careers that used the human face as a canvas.
After graduation, I started at Blanche Macdonald, Vancouver, where I began my career as a makeup artist with MAKE UP FOR EVER – a professional brand from Paris! I pioneered the brand in Western Canada as the Western Regional Manager, then later the National Educator. I studied with the creator Dany Sanz in Paris. I am forever grateful as it shaped and changed my life.
This opportunity helped me to elevate, empower and inspire myself, other artists, and clients. I shared the philosophy; Love yourself, love what you do and then share the love with all. Be happy.
What are you up to right now that people should know about?
In the fall of 2019, my career path took a new direction. After listening to clients’ thoughts and concerns, I began to question what we were putting on our skin. I dug deep into cosmetic ingredients. What were parabens? Why animal testing? What type of toxins are in makeup & skincare?? The next steps included investigation & education. Knowledge is power. I knew it was time for a change. Empowering, elevating, and educating myself and others about clean beauty is my present passion. While on this journey, something magical has happened. I have discovered a female Canadian entrepreneur with a high-performance cosmetic brand. Stay tuned! Join me on my new journey.
My mantra: The power of education can’t be reversed: Your imagination is your only limitation. Believe, learn, and play. Create with passion, power, love, and health.
