Maggie is the owner of Fotografia Boutique, a premier portrait studio in Oakville. She is an artist, a creative genius, a passionate cultural arts event producer and a successful entrepreneur.
Maggie Habieda is literally made of love. She is an artist, a visionary. Her gift, the power of her image, is considered by so many to be therapy. Bringing out the best in people, capturing their souls, and seeing themselves in their best versions regardless of how shy or not photogenic they think they may be. Maggie is recognized internationally for her professionalism, innovation and exceptional quality of work. All herald her unparalleled mastery of post-production technology and software, but it is with her most demanding clients where she flourishes. Through a delicate balance of art, tech, vision and passion, Maggie is a leader of artistic innovation. Maggie has photographed countless corporate executives, business leaders, notable politicians, and many famous artists. What truly sets this international award-winning master photographer apart from all others are her timeless portraits, custom printed in a class of its own, on an elegant gallery-style canvas that will last for generations. But there is more to Maggie Habieda than her success as an artist. At the tender age of only 16 years old, when she emigrated to Canada without any English and a simple upbringing, she still maintains the same humility and grounding that she was brought up with today. “My personal achievement was to overcome my fears and shyness. Because my desire for achievement was stronger than those fears, I overcame it. Because of this, I was allowed to do what I was born to do, which is make great art”. Imagery is everything. Being on both sides of my camera opens my mind and ability to feel and see what others may be dealing with. “I need to experience everything that my clients may feel or fear because this is such a personal thing, and I come from this as a person.” “Ten years ago, I started with very little, but this business has grown through the power of partnerships. Success is never achieved alone, always with others”. This involves community and business partners that come together at her Fotografia Boutique Gallery for a day of celebration through photography. She believes, “By helping others, we help ourselves”. Maggie produced the not-for-profit “Colours of Love International Concert”. It promotes and profiles artists in a forum dedicated to the message of love, diversity, inclusion and equality. The Colours of Love is more than a concert; it is “a movement”. “Regardless of being a man or woman; we are all equals. Life is a gift”. Maggie has always advocated for women’s self-esteem. She has created the annual event that she named “Every Woman Is A Princess”. When you see Maggie at public functions, she commonly hands out long-stemmed roses to all women. Maggie’s life has had its fair share of hardships and adversity. By living with honesty and integrity, she is respected by all who come into her life. And that is what Maggie has always been the most appreciative of; us. She loves us and cherishes us for our role in her life, regardless of that part. She grew up to appreciate everything in life, and she instilled that in her two beautiful children. But by applying this humility and grace to her business, she grows and is the driving force behind the growth of others. – “My business plan was never about how much money it would make, but about the people, I would get to meet. And I exceeded my expectations. That is my legacy. That is my greatest success”.
