Joanne Turnbull, a relentless activist, and proud philanthropist who spends her time inspiring others to have a voice.
If you could give your past self some advice, what would you tell yourself?
Don’t sweat the small stuff. Once you live by this your life becomes happier and more fulfilling.
Where do you see yourself in five years? How do you envision your future?
I see myself as a Member of Parliament where I can represent those who need a louder voice. I envision my future to be fulfilling, rewarding and meaningful.
Do you have a mantra or phrase you live by? What is it?
The 3,2,1 approach is my mantra. Each and every day I reflect on 3 things that I’m grateful for, perform 2 acts of kindness and I do 1 thing that makes me happy.
What is your favourite thing about what you do in your career and why?
My absolute favourite thing about my career is the ability to inspire and motivate others. I find it incredibly rewarding to empower others.
What keeps you motivated on a daily basis?
Passion. Everything I do is largely inspired by true passion. When you love what you do, it shows in your motivation.
