Tracy Donald is an entrepreneur and business owner who is helping women find their power.
If you could give your past self some advice, what would you tell you?
I would say stop caring so much about what others think. People will always have opinions, but how much leverage we give them is up to us! We have NO business caring about what others think of us!
When you first started your career, how did you know you were ready and what made you start?
I didn’t have a clue that I was ready. I was terrified because I did things in a different order, kids first, then education, marriage, and career. Once I got going, I realized I had a passion for the direct sales industry and all it offered in terms of living my life on my grounds, time freedom, and a lack of glass ceilings. Working with SEINT is ideal as its philosophy aligns with my own. It isn’t that we want to make women look beautiful because they are already beautiful; we want to make them believe they are beautiful.
Women will often say that they do not have the time or an occasion to worry about applying makeup. My response to that is that you do not need an occasion; you are the occasion. Show up for you! It’s about showing up for yourself.
What or Who has been your greatest influence in business?
I have been blessed with people who have poured their knowledge and care into my learning over the years. I do have to say two people stand out significantly. My husband Rob has always helped to keep me grounded. He is my biggest cheerleader but also gives me a swift kick in the butt when needed. He has a way of keeping me motivated and helping me reach for my greatest potential. The second person is my dear friend Tracy Stewart. Tracy was my mentor in my first company, and she taught me a lot about leading a team from the heart.
What is your number one business goal to accomplish this year?
My number one goal this year is to help as many women as possible take their businesses to new heights! I am in an industry where you are in business for yourself but not by yourself, and there is nothing more satisfying than helping others set goals and watching them crush them! I want to help others reach the top leadership rank in this company.
What do you have going on that you’d like to share?
I am going to be a grandma for the second time early this fall. My family is my world, and my husband, three kids, two daughters-in-law, and soon-to-be two grandchildren are my everything. There is not anything I would not do for them. I am a very blessed woman.
