Corinne DiPietro is a photographer, explorer, and enthusiastic gardener who celebrates the elemental beauty around us.
Photographer Corinne DiPietro explores the in-between or overlooked spaces within our communities and ourselves to reveal unexpected beauty. Seeing through the urban grit or undergrowth, she crates imagery that brings into focus a serious and austere nature, evoking mystery and movement. Subjects and forms are framed in the lens to reflect a desire to reorganize the world and make the invisible, visible.
Cityscapes explored in earlier work have given way to urban gardens and then more natural vistas, via a relocation. Her attention, especially now, is centered on the homestead, garden, and the miracle of the seed and succession.
Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Corinne resides on Martha’s Vineyard, MA. Graduating with Honors from the New England School of Photography, she has a studio in the SOWA Art Design District. Her work has been juried into shows in the USA, Ireland, and Canada, including the Annual Juried Show at the Griffin Museum of Photography and the Photography Biennial at the Danforth Museum in MA.
