If you could give your past self some advice, what would you tell you?
Go for it, do not let your doubts and fears stop you from going into business for yourself. The fear you feel is only a result of the thoughts you are thinking, and in most cases, those fears never ever materialize.
When you first started your career, how did you know you were ready and what made you start?
I stumbled into my career in the financial service industry in 1983 after high school graduation and quickly realized I loved helping others. I also loved money and making it grow. Deep down, I knew I was ready to strike out on my own as an independent financial planner and coach, but I did not have the courage to give up the stability of employee income, even though I was deeply unhappy as an employee. I even wrote myself letters declaring I would quit by such and such a date, so when the Universe took over and I was given a package in November of 2012. I took it as a sign to start my own business doing what I deeply love which is helping Women create an empowering relationship with money through financial planning and overcoming money blocks; the same doubts and fears I had to overcome.

What or who has been your greatest influence in business?
So many amazing women and men have been a part of my growth over the years. I would say though that Susan Jeffers, PhD and best-selling author of Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway, who took a chance on me by giving me the rights to facilitate her workshops circa 2011, was the catalyst in where I am today. Her book and faith changed how I related to fear and when I read the book, the first thing I thought to myself is, I really want to share this information. She has since passed away and I no longer am a facilitator however, her work lives on in my DNA and my teachings today.
What is your number one business goal to accomplish this year?
My number one business goal this year is to roll out and fill my Crack The Money Code program for professional women. The more women I can educate, teach, and inspire to invest in the self care of finance, and all it entails, the better. Net worth equals self worth and when you really let your contaminated thinking fall away, you realize your value is limitless.
What do you have going on that you’d like to share?
I have weekly Crack The Money Code Power Hour Sessions for women held on Zoom, Wednesdays at 11 a.m. This is an open forum to keep the focus on abundance and prosperity, creating a community of women who share, learn, and encourage each other to create and own each of their individual powerful relationships with money.
I am also launching my Crack The Money Code Program in the first quarter starting with Investing 101, an inside look at Investing your money for success. More can be found on my website at www.barbwallick.com
