Pursuit 365 Day 11: Barbara Wallick

Barbara has over 30 years experience in the Financial Industry working as a Personal Financial Planner. She is a Certified Co-Active Life Coach specializing as a Tapping Into Wealth.

If you could give your past self some advice, what would you tell you?

Go for it, do not let your doubts and fears stop you from going into business for yourself. The fear you feel is only a result of the thoughts you are thinking, and in most cases, those fears never ever materialize.

When you first started your career, how did you know you were ready and what made you start?

I stumbled into my career in the financial service industry in 1983 after high school graduation and quickly realized I loved helping others. I also loved money and making it grow. Deep down, I knew I was ready to strike out on my own as an independent financial planner and coach, but I did not have the courage to give up the stability of employee income, even though I was deeply unhappy as an employee. I even wrote myself letters declaring I would quit by such and such a date, so when the Universe took over and I was given a package in November of 2012. I took it as a sign to start my own business doing what I deeply love which is helping Women create an empowering relationship with money through financial planning and overcoming money blocks; the same doubts and fears I had to overcome.

What or who has been your greatest influence in business?

So many amazing women and men have been a part of my growth over the years. I would say though that Susan Jeffers, PhD and best-selling author of Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway, who took a chance on me by giving me the rights to facilitate her workshops circa 2011, was the catalyst in where I am today. Her book and faith changed how I related to fear and when I read the book, the first thing I thought to myself is, I really want to share this information. She has since passed away and I no longer am a facilitator however, her work lives on in my DNA and my teachings today.

What is your number one business goal to accomplish this year?

My number one business goal this year is to roll out and fill my Crack The Money Code program for professional women. The more women I can educate, teach, and inspire to invest in the self care of finance, and all it entails, the better. Net worth equals self worth and when you really let your contaminated thinking fall away, you realize your value is limitless.

What do you have going on that you’d like to share?

I have weekly Crack The Money Code Power Hour Sessions for women held on Zoom, Wednesdays at 11 a.m. This is an open forum to keep the focus on abundance and prosperity, creating a community of women who share, learn, and encourage each other to create and own each of their individual powerful relationships with money.

I am also launching my Crack The Money Code Program in the first quarter starting with Investing 101, an inside look at Investing your money for success. More can be found on my website at www.barbwallick.com

I could see the light at the end but it looked so far away! Painting my fears free me from my agony and gave me more positive energy for the near future!"

Let’s do something out of the norm together, rea Let’s do something out of the norm together, ready? ⠀ Let’s take a sec to reflect. We rarely make time to reflect these days, and there’s a good reason for that! ⠀ Reflecting means we have to look at all of it…⠀
The things that worked, ⠀
The things that didn’t work, ⠀ The things that hurt, ⠀ The things that broke us, ⠀ The things that made us, ⠀ The things that pushed us….⠀ When we reflect, we see it all…⠀ And seeing it all can bring up a lot of big emotions that we’d rather just avoid all together. ⠀ Knowing this, I have a question for you…⠀ What REALLY didn’t work for you in 2020? ⠀ What was it that REALLY pushed you outside your comfort zone? ⠀
Did the whole year really “suck”…or were there moments of joy? Were there seasons of beauty? Were there snippets of laughter? ⠀ It’s really easy to look back and GENERALIZE how the entire year went if we’re not intentional about how we reflect…⠀ And let’s get honest, 2020 was a different year. ⠀ It presented peaks and valleys with many highs and lows…⠀ And it’s a lot easier to get stuck in a valley than it is to climb to the peak.⠀ So when we reflect, many of us fall into the depths of the valley and get submersed in the darkness - we can no longer see the light! We only see what didn’t work…and we forget everything that did. ⠀ We forget what joy there was, what opportunities came to be, what golden nuggets were born from so much unknown….⠀
And because we forget to see the light…and the dark feels so uncomfortable…⠀We just avoid reflection! ⠀ Can you imagine looking back on 2020, and being guided through a process of integrating the LIGHT from 2020? Imagine being able to change your mind about challenges and what they mean for you? ⠀ Reflection doesn’t have to be dark… It doesn’t have to be scary or boring…⠀ It doesn’t even have to be deep and meaningful!⠀ Reflection gets to be positive, a medium for light, a moment of self-love.⠀ Are you ready to reflect on who you’ve been to determine who you’ll become? ⠀ If you don’t learn the lessons, chances are…⠀
You’ll never change!⠀ Start here….RRR was created to guide you..connect with @theresalambertcoaching to get more from this post!
