Sitting on the front porch of my log cabin with a hot drink listening to the loons at night.

In an undisclosed location near enough to smell the salt of the sea and far away from street lights so I can see all the stars in the sky

Freedom/road trips, my camera and my high school sweetheart
Which historical figure do you most identify with?
My ancestors, particularly my great grandmother who lived in Siberia, protected my grandmother during the Bolshevik revolution. Escaped an assassination attempt in Japan and survived ww2 in Warsaw. Wouldn’t be here without her efforts.
What is your greatest extravagance?
I like a good pair of shoes. They keep you warm, give you support and move you forward in style. A good pair of leather boots precede all other extravagances.
When and where are you the happiest?
In a hemlock Grove searching for reishi or photographing ferns or canoeing on a lake or sailing in the Saguenay fjord.
What is your favorite occupation?
…motherhood, photographer, advisor
Which talent would you most like to have?
I’m good, but maybe…that cherry knot a honey pot always does with her mouth right before extracting useful information from a Bond type character. That could come in handy one day.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Hard pass. Content being happy with who I am and what I am in this moment.
What is your greatest fear?
The unknown, taxes, banal conversation. Surprise obligations
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Being the black sheep of the family.
What is your most treasured possession?
…I love my artwork and books and my garden… the things I treasure the most cannot be possessed.
What do you most value in your friends?
Loyalty intelligence inappropriate humour and discretion, not necessarily in that order of importance
What is your most marked characteristic?
My bangs -pew pew and my inability to disguise my true feelings.
Who is your favorite hero?
….Jesus and the men and women who dedicate their lives in service to our country.
What is your greatest regret?
I think Edith Piaf sang it best…If you were to die and come back.
