Makeup and Hair looks for Valentine’s Day for both virtual and in person dates.

Valentine’s day will be a little different this year, but I teamed up with hairstylist Kara Firman, owner of Guide Hair Salon and Portfolio Artist for L”Oreal Professionnel Canade to create two beauty Valentine’s looks. We created a classic look for model Kyra. We know that many of you are away from your romantic partners or are online dating – jumping on a zoom or FaceTime Valentine’s call. Or, for all the single ladies who are organizing a “Galentine’s online: a classic look is always amazing on screen and you can’t go wrong with this look.
Model Kyra
I always love a classic red lip for Valentine’s Day! I lined Kyra’s lips with Sorme Truline Lipliner in “Scarlet” and then applied Nars Powermatte Lip Pigment in “Don’t Stop” This combo creates the most kissable pout! I blended a beautiful soft pink Danessa Myricks Colorfix 24 Hour Cream Color Metallics in “Romance” on our model Kyra’s eyes and topped it off with a light wispie false lash and lots of Arbonne’s Speaks Volumes Mascara applied with a small mascara fan brush. For our model Kyra’s hair, hairstylist Kara Firman created this classic vintage inspired shape with a classic curling iron set, clipped curls up until cool and then brushed out hair – Voila!
Model Keely Mooney
For all the dates in person – since we are all wearing masks… I made the eyes and brows our focal point for this makeup look. We all love a smokey eye and it’s one of my favourites to create. Our model Keely has the most beautiful blue eyes and I wanted to make them pop! I love Bodyography’s Crystal Glide Liquid Eyeshadow and I placed the shade “Ruby” in a rose gold tone in the inner corners of the eyes. I blended the Danessa Myricks Colorfix 24 Hour Cream Color Mattes in “Exposed” on the eyelids …..smoked and smudged out to create a beautiful smokey eye! To create a beautiful natural lash look, I used Dark Swan of Denmark Secret (eyelash extensions effects) individual lashes.
I also really wanted to draw attention to model Keely’s brows. I love a natural brow lightly filled in and placed with a brow gel. Billiondollar Brows is my go to and I used Billiondollar Brows pomade in taupe, Billiondollar micro brow pencil in taupe, Biliondollar brow highlighter and Billiondollar brow gel to finish off the brow look.
For model Keely’s hair, hairstylist Kara Firman used a flat iron to create just the right amount of wave in different ways for a flatter wave shape.
Both hairstyles created for our models were created using these essential products from the L’Oreal Professional Techniart Range. Volume Lift– sprayed at the root and blow dried in for the perfect amount of volume right where you need it. Constructor– used to prep hair before using hot tools for protection and crunch free hold Fix Anti-Frizz Hairspray gives control and shine that you can keep layering for hold.
So I say let’s have a little fun with our beauty looks this Valentine’s Day! Whether you are on a zoom, wearing a mask or having a Galentine’s Day, let’s get creative with our hair and makeup game this year!
