I love doing makeup for graduates and hearing about all their future plans and dreams!
Creating a beautiful soft makeup glow is my favourite grad look this year. I was able to create this makeup look for the gorgeous Brooke Shoforost for her photoshoot with Erin Crooks Photography.
To create a beautiful glow and to prime the skin I started with Vita Liberata beauty blur. I used Bodyography Skin Perfecter concealer for under eye area and the Bodyography Silk Cream Foundation to create a beautiful coverage.
For a luminous glow, I used Arbonne Starlight Glow Palette, then I used a fan brush to highlight the face and a fluff brush to warm up the skin with bronzer. I love cream blush and my favourite is Bodyography cream blush in nectar blended on the apples of the cheeks.
For the brows, I love a natural fluffy brow and Brooke has beautiful natural brows, so I filled the brows in lightly with the Billion Dollar brow pomade butter in blonde with a brow brush. I set and brushed up the brows with my favourite Billion Dollar brow gel in clear.
For Brooke’s eyes I wanted to give her a soft romantic smokey eye. I love Danessa Myricks 24 hour cream color metallics and I used the shade romance on the base of her eyelid.
To smoke out her eyeshadow I used some gorgeous shades from the Arbonne Volume One eyeshadow palette. Having a wispy natural lash is a must have for this look, I applied the Arbonne Speaks Volumes mascara and gave her a few coats of mascara before applying my custom Holly Decker signature lashes by Erin Nicole Lash.
A great rule of thumb when doing makeup is less is more and if I create a smokey eye look, I often keep the lips soft and natural.
One of my favourite long lasting lipsticks is a stain by Bodyography. The liquid lava look so good and don’t dry the lips but have the staying power for all day. I wanted a bit of a glossy lip for Brooke so I applied my go to from Sara Happ in nude.
To set this makeup look and avoid shine, I used my makeup must haves Veil Cosmetics Automatte Mattifying Balm and Skindinavia Makeup Setting Spray.
If you are looking to create a beautiful glow for your grad photos this year and aren’t able to hire a professional makeup artist in your area, I can provide virtual makeup lessons to teach you how to do this or any other makeup look.
Congrats to the grads of 2021
